Chickadee Cottage is nestled in the woods atop rock ridges just north of Lion's Head, about 2 km to Georgian Bay. It has an outdoor area with firepit, screened porch, large parking lot, loft with 2 single beds and 1 double bed on main floor. There is a full size fridge and well equipped kitchenette. A gas BBQ is in the screened porch. This spring we are adding a deck off the back porch so you can enjoy sitting in the woods where you will experience lots of birds, wildflowers ( orchids in late May) and the solitude of the woods. The cottage is ideally situated and close to Georgian Bay. The Bruce Trail is 1.5 km from cottage. Bruce Peninsula National Park is 25 minutes north, Tobermory 30 minutes north, Lions Head is 7 km away and has most of what you will need with grocery store, hospital, drug store, hardware store, marina, Royal Bank and lots of cute shops. There is excellent kayaking, rock climbing and hiking close by. There is a sandy beach in Lions Head and another larger sandy beach on the Lake Huron side which is just 15 minutes away. The cottage is filled with cozy comfort, art, quilts and lots of charm. Our art studio is on the same property down a path through the woods. Kids 16 and younger stay free with adults.
