WELCOME TO THE BRUCE PENINSULAThis gorgeous executive home is located on the shores of Dyer's Bay, on Georgian Bay on the Bruce Peninsula. There is a small community here in Dyer's Bay, and much of the land around the bay is a provincial park.
THE LAND
This area is truly "Ontario's Natural Retreat" . It is reknown for it's nature - having 2 National Parks and many Provincial Nature Reserves - the Bruce Peninsula is a naturalists haven. Close by Plumica are miles of natural forest and the mighty cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment. Cabot Head National Park is a short distance away. The area is also protected through the Unesco World Biosphere.
THE NATURE
The Bruce Peninsula is home to over 44 varieties of Orchids, and some of the oldest cedar trees in North America. The "Bruce" is on the migration route for many birds - and spring and fall finds some of them at your bird feeder. Hummingbirds spend their summers feeding from your garden or feeders. The Bruce is home to lot's of other wildlife such as deer, bear, lynx, bald eagles, and coyotes.
THE WATER
The waters in front of Plumica are crystal clear, they are some of the cleanest waters in Southern Ontario. Salmon and Lake trout are fished from Georgian Bay in waters that drop to over 100' from the shore. Canoeing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing , all can be done from the shore in front of the home.
THE PENINSULA
The Bruce Peninsula is a place of diversity. There are sandy beaches for the sun-seekers, 25 pound salmon for the anglers, many coves and inlets to discover for the boaters, 150 km's of the best hiking in Ontario for the naturalist, orchids and other rare flowers for the botanist, art shops and galleries for the art lovers, miles of trails for the snowmobiler... whatever your interest you will find it in the Bruce Peninsula.LINKS
